SurfControl Empowers Their Sales Channels Using OutSystems Solution

Redwood Shores, Calif. (PRWeb) January 8, 2007 -- OutSystems, Inc., today announced that SurfControl (London: SRF), a leading provider of global on-demand, network and endpoint IT security solutions, has deployed a partner management solution using the OutSystems' technology to empower their indirect sales channel.

"We needed to find a way to make it easier for our channels partners to sell our products," said David Harris, Vice President of Channel Sales at SurfControl. "As a result of OutSystems solution, we will be able to deliver current, localized and the most relevant information immediately to our partners based on their level of partnership and region, so they can be more productive and efficient. The solution will also streamline the collaborative processes between our channel management organization and our channel partners."

The first phase of the rollout centralized the partner profile data that was dispersed among several systems within the company enabling SurfControl to model and manage a complete view of their partner network. It also enables the partners to self-register, update their partner profile and to register and maintain deal status. Partner sales tools including: marketing collateral, program information and pricing all visible in a personalized portal-like framework depending on their regional and partner-level profile.

"We needed to ensure that our solution can be easily adapted to any future changes to the business process," said Max Rayner, Executive Vice President of Products and Services, CIO at SurfControl. "After a careful evaluation of other options, including from our CRM vendor, we selected OutSystems. The flexibility of their solution and its ability to easily integrate with other applications including our content sources, made OutSystems an easy choice."

"We are very excited to partner with SurfControl for their partner manager solution," said Paulo Rosado, CEO of OutSystems. "As companies look to make their indirect channels more productive and effective, they realize the Partner Relationship Management (PRM) capabilities from the CRM vendors fall short because they tend to be pipeline-visibility centric and provide limited capabilities in content management and collaborative workflow. OutSystems allows them to address these issues very quickly."
